Traditions. The holiday’s wouldn’t feel the same if we didn’t do them. If you don’t have any traditions this is also for you because you can start some with your loved ones this year! These are SO FUN! I want to start them all!

~ My 83yr old father has this novelty breast mug with a hole where the (you know what is). Well, it started out as a sick joke, one year, that we’d put the gravy in the mug and, it kinda stuck! Now every year we have a breast mug on our table, filled with gravy that pours out of that hole.

~ We name and dance with our turkey when we clean it prior to stuffing it and cooking it. My parents did it when I was a kid and now I do it with my kids. Only my kids look at me like I am nuts.

~My ex’s family had a fork that looked like a regular fork but you could pull the end out of it to make it 4 times as long. In the middle of everyone eating, whoever was the new guest at the table, the uncle would extend the fork and grab some food from the person’s plate across the table and eat it. (this is my FAV)

~ I let the kids take all the leftover mashed potatoes n stuff that doesn’t reheat well and have a food fight in the yard after dinner

~ The men in my husbands family do a pre-eating weigh in, then compete to see who can gain the most weight during the meal before a post-meal weight-check. Lots of water, lots of mashed potatoes, and a whole bunch of women shaking their heads in confusion over why.

BUZ’N Traditions

Paul Koffy: We drink, play board games that require us to say a lot of politically incorrect things.(this is true, I’ve been. Its FUN!)
TJ: We have a plastic table cloth we all write each year what we are thankful for. We also sit in the same seats every year sooooo when ex boyfriends/girlfriends wrote on the cloth the new bf/gf sat in that same seat and gets to read all the ex’s “thankful words” (My fam actually does find this hilarious)
Kris Valentine: My tradition was always heading over to my grandmas house on thanksgiving day for the biggest meal ever!! She came from the days where you had all your good China out and made all the best dishes. To this day I have never had better mashed potatoes than the kind my grandma made!!
